BSOD's corrupting windows installation and windows won't boot?

My pc has been recently getting BSOD's mostly in gaming and the codes are all random but when I do get them I try to boot back into windows but it won't allow me saying I must insert the installation CD to repair windows. Sometimes the CD will repair the problem but when it can't I've been required to do a fresh windows installation!

I have recently changed my graphics card + PSU and I was having the problem before I got these parts so I know it's neither of them and the problem happens very frequently when my PC was overclocked and it's only happened once when my pc was at stock. I have stress tested the CPU under prime I have tested the ram under memtest with no bad results... I'm really confused what could be causing the problem? The motherboard undervolting somewhere?

I currently have it all at stock.
 
I can't remember the previous BSOD codes but i've had a lot if different ones - is there anyway to check the OS and see what the BSOD's were. Also the ram I just left default timings/settings from day one as I know ram doesn't bring much improvement in a gaming pc.
 
Try enabling xmp/profile 1,that might help with stability

You can look in event viewer to see what it crashed on but it won't show the bsod codes,you have to try and catch them as they happen if you can

Pretty sure its ram setting if it randomly bsod's like that
 
Always been my suspicion too is there anything I can run other than meatiest that may stress it harder or in a different way? Also the reason I was dubious about it being ram was due to the fact the problem got worse when overcooking and I didn't overcook the ram - unless overcooking the CPU affects it in some way?
 
Can try prime95 blend test that stresses memory aswell as CPU

It's hard to say without testing each thing,ram will crash if its not getting enough voltage,probably If the CPU oc or gaming would put more stress on it
 
I'll leave the ram testing overnight - I'm assuming it's impossible it's the CPU as well it works... or if it is then it is just a voltage issue? I tried running vcore high and it didn't change anything. Could the motherboard be at fault? Fluctuating with voltages and not being consistent?
 
124 error is mainly not enough CPU v but can also be not enough CPU/vtt or vccio on asus

Could try with 1.08v to 1.15v vccio from stock 1.05v
 
Well I've installed another windows on a redundant HDD I have a dual boot system as i'm sick of re installing my normal SSD copy. I will overclock the CPU to get the errors more and try upping that and see how I go thanks mate. I'll test ram again tonight.
 
I'm starting to think it's the SSD or the motherboard now. I've installed windows on an old 500gb HDD and I've overclocked the system to 4.6ghz only touching the vcore and it seems completely stable with no BSOD's.
