hi everyone

i have had my pc for a few months now and everything was fine until i got FarCry 2, and updated my drivers. Since then i've tried reinstalling the drivers but im just getting constant blue screens/game has stopped responding messages <5 minutes into games. (GRiD, FC2, COD4)

Memory passes memtest no probs
cpu is stable under orthos
gpu is running stock with 180.48 official drivers

the messages i'm getting are :

Would really appreciate some help :)

thanks

i've taken all overclocks off, running @ or below stock.

haven't had any BSODs today but i am now getting constant lock ups and "###.exe stopped responding" in game. doesn't last 30 seconds into a game sometimes and it does it, normally only a reboot will fix it.

someone please help :/

Have you made any hardware or software changes recently? New parts, overclocking, moved the PC, installed or uninstaleld anything?

my video card is relatively new, but these problems started before when i had my 7900 .. after updating drivers :/. I think the problem is drivers but i don't know what else i can do other than to wipe/reinstall. think i might try some old drivers in a minute.

Update all your chip set and motherboard drivers, then use something like CCCleaner to remove all the current nVidia drivers, then just start rolling back to the last stable ones. Give that a go and get back to us :)

surely 600W will power my pc? going by the other thread where most pcs maxed @ about 2/300W i'd be suprised if it's the psu.

its got a lot worse since yesterday when i started playing with oc's on the video card .. but i've since taken them off and everything's running as it was. but these lockups have gotten worse.

what brand is it? 600w means nothing, amps are what GPU's need. Also, I'm referring to the fact the PSU may be faulty, not insufficient in being able to power your gear.

sorry i thought i had it in my sig. it's a 600W OCZ StealthXStream. It has 18A across its 4 12V rails so i believe that's 72A? Might be wrong in my calculation though ..

just left it burning-in on furmark and it hit 92' .. how does this compare with other similar cards? i don't know what to think as i've only had the card a few weeks.
