im getting random blue screen of deaths, they have been happening now for a few weeks but things have become serious. heres a timeline on events:

counterstrike source would lock up with a bsod after 2 hours or so
then css would lock up with the sound being stuck in a loop with spectrum type loading noises
then windows would crash with noises/bsod's
then my raptor hard drives (raid 0) clicked but works fine
then windows would not boot sometimes
then windows would not boot at all, and safe mode would not work

at this point I did a reformat and set all bios settings to stock

one hard drive would not load windows but the other would
(At this point I unattatched the dodgy harddrive)
then the fresh windows bsod
then windows/display artifacted (have tried 2 different gfx card but both did the same)
at this point I did a test of all my hard drives but they tested fine

heat is not an issue.

things that I think it might be are...

memory but its fairly new and passes memtest
motherboard...how do you test that this is working fine?
harddrives, but all test fine
raid controller on motherboard

Im really stuck please help me solve this problem:(

There is no easy way of finding out what component is busted without going through some time consuming testing.

You need to find a rig that is somwhat similar to your own and is in full working order and try all your hardware in it, one bit at a time. Eventually you will have tested everything bar the motherboard.

If at this point everything works, the motherboard is a pretty big culprit - but you still need to test it... to do this you need to take the hardware from the working rig and try it on the mobo. If it doesn't work - bingo.

I dont have any friends with the same setup though, is it possible that the hard drive is faulty even though the dignostics say its fine? It might be a mechanical problem (because of the clicks) that the software cannot detect?

whats your ram voltage ? do you have cnq turned on? I was gettin bsods every 5 mins into windows, found out my ram voltage was too low, upped to to 2.7 volts and hey presto my bsods go.
