Iam on bt max adsl and my connection is currently at 1.5mb/s i sync at 1928kbps line /att 59 snr is 6, the question is i typed my telephone number into bts checker and it said i could get 2mb/s with a adsl max speed of between 6.5mb to 8mb this is total bull ive been with them for months now on max and its never gone faster than 2mb, do bt just make up random figures to lure people into getting max?

It's an approximation, and it says as much. Sounds like an error somewhere (or your internal wiring is really crappy) - 58dB attenuation doesn't qualify for fixed rate 2Mbps...

am going with some1 else so far ive been happy

Other than cable (or LLU to some extent), changing ISP won't change anything.

Just disconnected my internal wiring phone + modem connected via the master socket with filtered faceplate sync at 1895kbps line att 59 snr 15, WOW my snr has more than doubled does this mean ill eventually sync higher?

Its quite possible that an LLU operator would'nt take them on with that length of line. No harm in asking I guess though.

Quite. No service is different from some service though, so it would be a change. :p

It should already have synched higher - you might need to get your ISP to give things a kick though.

I must have had an old number off BT, because the day I went active I ran a estimator it told me i'd get 4.5Mb, and I knew for a fact I was only liable to get 1MB.

Take the results with a pinch of salt ;)
