had BT Broadband since broadband was 1st available on my exchange, the fastest I can get now is 8mb download 350k ish upload

for some thiings it's great, downloading from steam is always fast, downloading anything is always pretty fast actually but for streaming things like youtube it's hit and miss, iplayer etc is always buffering if I try to watch in HD

is there any point trying to change providers or is it more to do with the old exchange i'm connected to ?

ADSL Max is the most I can get, if it worked at 8mb all the time I'm sure it would be fine for all the streaming stuff just not sure if it'll be any better with a different provider
never used to have this problem but I'm guessing the quality of videos being streamed has went up as most peoples broadband speed has went up too

For YouTube, it's always been a problem on their end. Not sure about iplayer though.

If you're happy with what you have, then stick with it. Might be best to see what LLU packages you can get though, you never know, you might find a cheaper alternative.

ADSLMax sync of 8128 is fine for streaming iPlayer HD and YouTube 1080p.

Post router stats.
Which exchange are you connected to?
