Hi,

As topic really. Basically I have searched the net high and low and can't find the specifications of the Business Hub (the silver one) as to which Wireless standards it has.

I want to have a couple of PC's running off it and would like to go as fast as it can but not overkill (i.e. I'd like to have a few 300MB wireless cards which would be great for transferring around the network but not if they are massively overkill).

Work are paying for the wireless cards so cost isn't really an issue.

Thanks,

M.

HyperG wifi is mentioned in a few specs for the 2wire routers the BT hub is based on, this no known max speed boosting capabilites but good standard range and some range extension when the transmit power is cranked up towards US approved levels.

BT version prevents access to the high transmitter power settings (some work arounds exist). No more than good 54g speeds.

If you cant just ethernet cable the PC's needing faster transfer consider trying the AV versions of the Homeplug powerline network adapters (ethernet over the mains).

One AV homeplug for the router, 1 more for each PC to attach thats not in a cableable distance.

Homeplug AV rated at 200 mbps is wildly optomistic but then agains so's 300 mbps wifi. 50+mbps & maybe 70+ transfers are achievable
