BT Business Hub - 2Wire 2700HGV

Is the BT Business Hub (2Wire 2700HGV) 'locked' to BT?

If so can they be unlocked?

Yes they are by default locked to BT. I aquired a brand new one (well borrowed in the end) from work 18 months ago to use with our Sky Broadband and if I remember right, I had to download a custom firmware to flash & unlock the router to work with other ISP's but after 2 evenings of attempting to get it to work after flashing it, I gave up as the router would simply not sync with the exchange

Shame really as they are not bad router's at all and hold ADSL sync's very well.

I had the Qwest firmware (but once you flash that - it cannot be changed)

Thanks. I'll give that a read. Probably look at a different router tbh.
