Hi all

Just wondering if any of you know how to stop people accessing any of the configuration page on the BT Business Hub. The hubs being used at work to share wifi to a large conservatory for the customers. I've tried google etc but had no success.

Thanks :)

Hi

Thanks for the reply but we'd already set a system password. People can still get access to the connected computers list and part way through the restriction stuff. Ideally it should be like I have at home. You need to enter a password to do anything.

A customer raised it to the attention of the takeaway up here but to be honest why he was looking what he could access I don't know. :)

Thanks again

Thanks for your replies so far :) Problem is that we have different clients using it each week and as such the pc names constantly change. I need to somehow make it globally apply to wireless connections if I can.

What does the router actually show other users that you are not happy about?

I dont think you can actually change anything on the router if you have dont have the system account. And the router page info could be found by other means of network discovery (I wonder how many users use default ms workgroup etc details and share files to them).

I supose you could use an uncommon IP address for the router to deter very casual use but you would also have to prevent anyone typing in the bt default router name which it would resolve to the new ip address.
