Good news, although it isn't too difficult to get through to a UK rep.

They'll still have to go through the usual "have you turned it off and on" crap. I doubt very much the process itself will change.
 
BT hands down the worst service i've EVER received.

Not kidding, they were shocking. I went 2 months without internet and they told me 3 different dates, till I just cancelled went with sky and inet was up within a week....
 
I got BT Infinity for nafa as an employee as was considering paying for a different service as it was so crap. I'm with Sky now, which so far is the lesser of the two evils.
 
Indian customer almost made me hate Indians! Thankfully I know a few post people who are Indians and are very nice people :)
 
I would be happy with a small increase in cost to gain access to a "I know what I'm doing" tier of technical support - mainly just a way of reporting faults and getting them actually logged as faults instead of sending out a replacement router for issues further inside the network.

They could even require you to take a test first.
