I was under the impression that it requires more than 1 connect/disconnect to indicate a fault to the exchange?
 
dealing with broadband faults is one thing i hope never have to do.

When it works, it works brilliantly, but when there is a fault everyone is completely clueless.

iirc it downgrades per disconnect over a set period
so once a week, not too bad, once a day worse, once an hour even worse!
