BT Fair Usage

tbh if you're downloading 500GB a month you must have very bad social life!

If you download more than 200gb a month your a recluse, if you stick to the limit your in the cool crowd, I mean really what on earth are you talking about? lol
I've just got off the phone to BT, attempting to get my Mac code they reduced my monthly bill by £10 for BT option 3 and have reset my connection back to 6mb and my download total for this month - I can't really argue with that. The guy (and me) were totally shocked by my usage : 550gb (October), 690gb (November), 270gb (December, so far).
When they mentioned that I could obviously see thier point for restricting. When I added it all up in my head it's a combo of my downloads, and ftp/business use - also the kids have got Xbox's/PS3's - demo's take up a lot, normal usage and Steam games (that I never have time to play).
A dedicated business *cough*pr0n*cough* line might be in order.
If the bandwidth is there, people will use it. Not sure what you're downloading to get those sort of figures though. Don't think I particularly want to know either.

You might be surprised to find out that none of its porn
3 kids, 2 xbox's a ps3, 2 pc's, (1 which is set to auto download Hdtv programs for the wife), various other wireless streaming devices for hd that all take up bandwidth. The month that was 690gb was due to me reformatting my pc and not saving all my games on steam, I had to re download them all.
