BT fttc cabinet location

Hi

Is there a way to locate where the cabinet is that serves a property?

I know which cabinet is enabled for fttc for our postcode but I wondered what dslam type it was.

If I could see it I would be able to identify what dslam type it is.

Try
https://www.telecom-tariffs.co.uk/codelook.htm
Then type in postcode and click lookup postcode. Scroll to under the map and click the locality from the list. From there on the top section of the page is a link to view all xx Fibre Cabinets in area which will show the locations and the activations/vendors.

Thanks, very useful. I now know where it is, well the strongest likelyhood of our one as some addresses are served by another but both are ECI according to that database.

Anyone got a link to the specs of the latest ECI openreach modem as I'd like to know port layout and dimensions please?

I actually tried it and to my surprise the cabinet locations aren't accurate as a fibre cabinet I walk by isn't even marked on the map and the location of that cabinet on the map is further away from it's actual location.

AFAIK, that site shows postcodes served by a cabinet, not the actual cabinet locations. Although they can be easily spotted by walking around I don't believe BT publish a list of exact PCP locations.

The best way is to ask an openreach engineer if you see one in your area. Dont be annoying and just ask nicely and i see no reason for them not to be able to tell you which type your cabinet is. Assuming they are from the area they will have a good idea without having to look things up.

At worst they will say "sorry cant help you mate"

Did you not completely read what meandu229 said as you can get the location of all the specific fibre cabinets in a specific area, and that is what is inaccurate as one cabinet is shown on that site at least 300 meters away from where it is actually located and another (which is the one I'm connected to) is shown in a location that it couldn't be since it would be an obstruction due to how narrow the footpath is.
