I have a BT home Hub and I am connected to it by ethernet.
Sometimes when i play online games I recieve great connection speeds where as everybody else on the wireless network is connected to the router but has no internet connection.

Also the router can randomly fail for no apparent reason when people are browsing the internet but not downloading anything or playing games.

Does anybody know what this could be?
And, Does anybody else have a similar problem

BT Home Hubs are quite dire. Check it is running the latest firmware at least.
 
i agree there crap. we've been with them for months now. and we just left and went to sky. we've had no end of problems. being disconnected for weeks. and there unless on the phone.
 
Indeed they are awful, i recieved mine and set it up, was usless

Promptly put back my 5 year old router which does the job perfect and slung the bt one in the bin
