I have two BT Home hub 2's...One being downstairs wired to the main PC, and one sitting doing nothing, would it be possible for me to plug it into the phone socket in my bedroom and wire directly to my PC?

Would i need to do some black magic in the router settings or is it completly impossible and you're all going to laugh at me?!

Cheers!

You won't be able to have two home hubs connected to two different phone sockets and both connecting to the internet at the same time, if that's what you are after (unless they are two different phone lines and both are ADSL enabled) - sorry.

What are you trying to achieve?

Ok thanks for your reply. My wireless card stopped working, and i needed to access the internet, so wondered if i could put a spare hub in the phone socket by the PC instead of running wirelessly.

I had ordered a card off OC, but hadn't arrived, so had to go and buy a temporary one locally, it was £15, OC only charge £8! :(

Thanks anyway, appreciate the reply.

No problem.

Well it would have worked, but only if you had turned the first hub off at the time. Also, running off an extension socket, your ADSL speed would have been slower.
