BT Home Hub - Adjust Bandwidth

Is it possible to adjust the amount of bandwidth available to other users from the Bt Home Hub?

ie.
On this computer 7mbps
On laptop 1mbps

Also, any idea why my computer shows my speed as 12mbps when I'm on 8meg?

Because it's the speed of your network connection to the Home Hub, not to the internet.

What about my line stats.
I'm on 8 meg but my speeds are never over 6.

You have a profile of 7.2meg, which is the max you can download with overheads. Real throughput can be maximum just over 6500Kbps which is then dependant on source speed, load and throttling of BT.

I don't think you will be able to do advanced QoS on the home hub. I haven't seen the interface, but I doubt it will have that option. If you wish you can get a Linux box plugged into the router, then have a switch from the PC and a WAP on that. With this you will be able to do advanced QoS of clients. (Don't ask me how though!)
