And since I've gotten it. I've had very off speeds

just wonding if anybody else has had this problem in speed or the staus page looks similar.

just pointing out my upload/.download ratio.

Downstream: 287.1 Kbps about 26kbps download
Upstream: 1.13 Mbps about 110kbps upload.

very weird considering , im spose to get 7.7Mbps and my upload is spose to be 0.30mbps,

this is a adsl connection

cheers lloyd

EDIT.

Forgot to add this is plugged in master socket, witch bt installed to my house on the 3rd of augest as there was no line from the exchange.

Seems that your line isn't very good with high frequency adsl signals, while the lower end frequencies of your upload are normal.

Your noise ratio is higher than it needs to be and I would guess this is due to instability on the line, forcing it to sync lower.

You certainly should be pushing 8 megs with that line attenuation, probably more.

Are you plugged into an extension? Is the bell wire removed? Plug into master socket and check differences. Remove all extensions and check for differences.

Thanks for quick reply, no extension, pluged in the master socket, and no other sockets around the house. connected via ethernet at 1gbps. and theres no bellwire. this socket was only put in on the 3rd of augest, same with the line

Is there a lot if noise on the line? Pops, squeaks, hiss, clicks?

Your line is clearly terrible if those are the best you can achieve. My Mum gets 20x better speed on a 45db line.

just been having a look outside my house. and it seems that the power line for my house and my phone line, (both connected to same pole) touch each other,

would this be the likely speed issiuo im having?

thanks lloyd

I suppose it could be causing some interference but normally it wouldn't be an issue on such a short run. Mains runs massively lower frequency than adsl though so I wouldn't have thought it would matter. If the phone line were touching the mains cable copper them things would be different but you'd know if this were the case as you modem would have fried

Hmm according to samknows website I'm 1.2km away from exchange.

I'm guess I'm going to have to wait it out until my stabilization period has ended,

Untill then I'm pretty lost. Done everything I can to make a good connection myself. Has to be there end! As next door who use the same exchange and line comes from the same pole gets a nice 8.1 mb connection
