BT Home Hub Router Question

If i've got this correct the new fancy white BT Hub consists of a router, switch, Wi-Fi, Telephone.

Now question is how does this rate as a router?
If it's poor can I use my own router in conjunction to the BT Hub so I can use the telephone?

i have just set the bt hub up and found it to be crap basically so i have kept my old linksys adsl router and just added the bt hub to the network and it seems to work fine
