I did have bt homehub 1.5 which ran fine no problem with high download speeds

Got the new one as a free upgrade installed it fine and BAM feels like I am back on a 56k again

Pc is connected up on ethernet and is really really slow
Went on speedtester.bt and heres my results -

Download speed achieved during the test was - 67 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :8128 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 7000 Kbps

My line is capable of fast speed but its not :(

Also went on speedtest

The signal strength is strong on my pc connected by wireless but is also slow
Googling doesnt seem to help, anyone had this problem and did you fix it?

Just so you know, that speedtest server is located in ROI, so if you're testing from UK (even NI) your speeds/pings will be as good as if you were testing a server in Holland or Germany or something. But yeah, it's crazy how much difference changing the wireless channel can make on your speeds...

This forum absolutely amazes me. I was just about to start a thread on exactly the same topic and lo and behold theres this one ! Not the first time either.

My line speed has been up and down like a yoyo, got fed up with BT callcenter staff so started fiddling on my own.
