Changing wireless channel (11 works best generally) could improve your wireless speed. Changing router, again could also improve your sync speeds, but the difference you'll notice in real world terms will be minimal.

Example: I changed from a Homehub 2 to a 2wire 1800. My attenuation dropped from 49 to 46.5 and my sync speed went up by about 400kbps. However, the wireless on the 2wire is utter gash, so it's a trade-off really. I have alternative solutions, so it's all fine for me. The only way for you to find out whether it'll work is to try it, since it isn't as if our circumstances/environment is exactly the same as yours.

I remember reading on a BT forum that it suggested changing channel, and wireless protocol.

Change from a/b+N to just a/b. Unless you have N standard wireless adapters.

Hi, I recieved the BT Home Hub 2 about 2 weeks ago now. I had problems but found changing the channel to channel 11 really did improve the problem. Also I brought the Belkin Wireless N1 Desktop USB Adapter (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-073-BE&groupid=46&catid=1002&subcat=) Works brilliantly and is fully compatible with the Home Hub (tested by BT), and the speed and range increase was far better too!

P.S adapter works fine with Vista X64 too :)
