Hi. I've got a BT Infinity 2 package (76mb) at home feeding in to a HomeHub4. The HH4 has been giving me a lot of problems recently with regular WiFi disconnections and really poor speeds, even with machines sat right next to the router. There's about 12 devices connecting over wifi and I've got ESX servers running multiple machines connected via the ethernet ports so I'm thinking the HH4 is not up to the task. Has anyone been in a similar situation and replaced their HH4?

Thanks.

Might be an obvious suggestion but the HH5 had been excellent for us - AC wireless and gigabit ports.

Used to have problems with disconnects but latest firmware seems to have made it pretty solid.

I was going to get one of the ASUS RT-AC routers but got a HH5 upgrade and I'd agree it's quite good and stable. Haven't had major issues with it and it runs stable.

Once I moved from the internal modem to the external Openreach modem in combination with the HH5 it has shown to be stable, etc.

We have a home hub 5, I find the speed drop off is quite bad when you add in walls in a standard sized house. 40mb at the router to 3mbs 1 floor up and 1 across. Although I dont have anything that uses AC yet so cant comment on that.

Try the AC, it's quite good. I'm one floor up and I get the max 76Mbps and my brother in the loft gets the same.
