BT Infinity doubts...

A property that I am on the verge of moving in to (still waiting for the full chain to be all approved) is a decent hamlet cottage house. However, due to the remoteness of it, means that Internet won't be up to my current Virgin 120MB line.

I've checked, and BT Infinity is available, however I doubt that it will be up to the advert speeds.

In this case, is bonding two lines a feasible option?

Additionally, due to the remoteness of said property, it is overhead cables - is it possible to get BT Infinity in this setup or will it be a stumbling block/more expense?

Thanks in advance

You won't be able to do bonding as such. However if you're willing to pay for two lines and two ISP subscriptions then you could buy/put together some kit to allow you to load balance traffic. This of course wouldn't give you the combined speed of the two connections on a single download but would provide it on multiple simultaneous downloads and would also allow you to specify that certain types of traffic can go out on a specific connection. That's pretty much as good as you'll be able to get with BT Infinity.

Still, you may be surprised and actually get decent speeds. If you could work out where your nearest cabinet is then you could probably get a rough idea of what kind of speed to expect. Overhead cables won't make a different to whether you can get it or not either.

You can do bonding with AAISP. They are a little pricey though but extremely good.

BT Infinity estimates have always been very conservative i have found. I would expect you will get what you want.
