BT internet randomly cutting out

I have the modem and router that comes with bt infinity for around 6 months now and everything has worked perfectly albeit the speeds were lower than I expected but moving from 0.5mb to 15mb made me think less of it. Recently when browsing or playing an online game the internet connection would cut of on all devices on the network and then about 2 minutes later it would come back on. I tried all the obvious methods of fixing it such as resetting the router to default and changing the wireless channel but nothing seems to be working.

I then ran the windows diagnostics tool and after a few steps it said there was a dns error. I'm not sure how to fix this myself of whether it's a fault with the router or line? Any ideas on what I should do?

Any help would be great, thanks.

are any devices wired and experiencing the same ? If not then your problem is wireless.
If you have no wired devices you need to really test with a wired device.

Changing channel is not often enough did you scan for vacant channels using something like inSSIDer ?

The HH auto channel scan is rubbish too.
