Has anyone else using this service noticed recently that it has been extremely slow, a lot slower than it normally is?

Mine slowed to around 20kB/s downloads a few days ago.. back up to 250kB/s now and been fine since, had a few dropouts in the past few weeks. I'm using a WAG354G router.

yep it's definatly slowed down for me in the past couple of weeks. During the day i'm getting around about 40-60 kb/s and then as it passes midnight it goes up to around 300 - 700.

Unbelievably annoying speeds....hardly enough speed to stream videos anymore during the day. ****ing me off! but what can you do? i'm guessing ringing them up won't do anything...?

Father in laws BT connection syncs @ a max of 1.5mb in the day and drops to around 600 ish @ peak. So 40-60kbs is good for him!

Ringing them up and complaining does nothing, hes spent hours and hours on the phone to BT in the last 12 months and they have done nothing to help.

On the bright side his contract is up now, but there's no decent LLU's on the exchange! And VM cable is not available in the area.

If the sync rate is changing it isn't the ISP's fault - it's an issue between your modem and the exchange. Dropouts probably have nothing to with BT Retail either...

Before complaining about an issue with your ISP, you need to make sure it isn't something else - check your IP profile with the BT Speedtest (instructions in sticky), and make sure there's nothing untoward with your connection too.
