I wasn't sure whether to put this under Home & Garden or here so chose here instead.

I have moved home today and only yesterday (i know I should have done it sooner but it's a long story) completed the home move on BT website. In my new property, there is a working Internet connection which I know cannot be mine as the activation date given was the 10th.

With this in mind, am I allowed to use this connection?

I do have visions of it cutting off at some point as the previous occupier may have transferred their own connection. I'll see how it goes though.

Did they leave the router behind or something? Or do you not need a username/pw to connect to FTTC?

Nothing left behind. I plugged in my Openreach modem then ethernet cable to my router and it worked. The username for BT is the same for everyone.
