Hey all,

Unfortunately, a plug along the way was removed from a phone socket which meant the internet in our house was down for about three hours - When I came home and traced it back, I refitted the connection and the internet was back on.

However, a break in the connection on BT, I believe, resets the IP Profile which means we have about three days of slow internet >_>

Very - VERY Annoying :p

Tried to upload an image of the results of the BT speedtester - but I cried trying to upload it as the speed was so bad :p

Nevertheless, I'm getting a profile of around 165kbps on a usual 6000-7000kbps line...

Is there anyway to reset the IP Profile so we can get speedy again - or will we have to endure another three - five days of slow internet - Slow as in - 65kbps was the maximum download speed I could get... :(

HELP... Please :p

Thanks,

Marky

Greetings,

Most of the time the more you use it the quick it will change,
But if this is some thing you cant wait for call your isp ask them to log a fault to BT and ask them to change the profile and a Flex-VC to be done on the line.

Thanks for the reply buddy :)

Guess I better ring BT before I chew my hand off :p

At the moment I'm tethering with my phone and using the 3G because it's even faster than my current broadband :p

Three hours of simple downtime shouldn't reset the profile. Are you sure that your router is still synching at a decent rate?

Ah BTs (non-existant) blip logic... just disconnecting router for awhile won't case IP profile to reset tho especially not that low (normally resets to 2Mbit).
