BT line fault

Has anyone else had problems with BT resolving line faults?

i have had a fault on my phone line (noise) since the middle of May, after maybe half a dozen visits, a new line from the pole to the socket (including a new socket) its still not been resolved, and now my broadband speed has now dropped to 0.2 meg (was 5 meg)

apart from this going on for well over a month now i find it really annoying that they can't even keep me updated as to whats going on, i have to keep phoning them to find out.

this week i checked the fault progress on the BT website and they had closed it without telling me and the fault hadnt even been fixed.... when i phoned up they wouldnt re-open that fault and created a new one, maybe they are worried about their standards of service.

if i had the option i would drop BT but we can't get virgin in my village
