The last three years my connection has been showing a 4meg connection rating , two weeks ago although the connection rating was the same my speeds had dropped from 350kb/s to just 100/150kb/s. I phoned up friday and was told that a line test would be done and i'd be called back on saturday. I waited and waited , nobody called back.
I phoned up tonight and was told my account had not been upgraded and i was on the old speeds. I was then put through to one department then another. I said could someone reset my ip profile thats all i'm asking!. I was then put through to tech support again , who put the phone down on me.
I phoned up again , i gave my number and told them to reset my ip profile and they said yep we can do that please hold 2mins. They then told me there was no account on this number , i gave them the number again and was told to hold 2mins. Again they said wrong number i said it again and they got the number 1 digit out. One last time they contacted wholesale and said had i got a new number. I said ages ago its been fine ever since , they told me that my old number was still on the account. They also asked me had i moved house recently i said no. They apologised and put the correct phone number on the broadband account they also told me that the cpc number e.t.c would be put on the correct account and all the phone numbers. He also said the speed should be back to the correct speeds in two days.
Now i got my old man moaning , hope they didn't put us on another 12months and hope you didn't change your mums details on the account ( she doesnt live with us but does have bt broadband ). I said no how could i when i gave our address.
Christ almighty its made far harder for the fact its being BT INDIA and having to clearly say my number and made worse the fact that BT can't get the details right when we are on a BT phone line.
