BT / Plusnet

Hi

I am looking at taking out fibre broadband either from BT or Plusnet. I currently have the Billion 7800N router and would like to know if I can use this with either of the above providers? If people are using the provides what are there experiences?

Any router with an Ethernet WAN port will work.

I use a 7800N with BT Infinity and it's pretty good. You'll need to make sure QoS is turned off though as I don't think the 7800N has the grunt to deal with this. When I had QoS rules in place, the maximum downstream throughput I could achieve was around 34mbit.

Is there much difference in the syn speed between the Plusnet router and the 7800N?
