I recently got my self Package 3 through BT, and i am far from happy. For some reason the connection duration is very random, i can be browsing sites to playing games and then the next thing no connection, but all the lights on the hub are solid. I only get a connection back if i reset my HomeHub and disable/enable my ethernet card. I t ried BT, the nice indian woman said she will send out a new hub(which i don't think is the problem). Anyone else had this problem or could offer some advice?

Are you connecting to it using wireless? And when connection is lost, can you still get into the homehubs admin pages?

To be honest if the modem is locking up and requires a reboot to get you going again it probably is the problem.

I'd give the new one a go and see if that fixes things before trying anything else.

well the best router would be a Cisco 2800 with ADSL module but that's gonna weigh in at about £2700 :) and require a CCNA/CCNP to set up.

Realistically I'd suggest WRT54GL (linux based Cable router) with an ethernet ADSL modem. Something like a linksys AM200.

There are plenty with built in ADSL modems but then if you want to upgrade the line you'll have to replace the whole router this way is more flexible and as yet i haven't seen an integrated ADSL router that matches the 54GL for stability/functionality.
