BT return to donor problems from bulldog

Im with bulldog for phone and broadband, past my contract length and want to move to sky or talk talk or to BE etc for phone and broadband or phone etc.

I rang the number below, and they said yes they can do it, but theres a 12 month contract im entering with BT, i thought there wasnt a minimum term ??

What is the position on this? or was the BT man trying it on?

I just want to move my line back, and get my number on the BT database so i can choose

If you need to switch your line and calls back to BT:
Call 0800 121 8085 if you are currently with another telephone company.
 
Its pretty poor really, you should be able to pick and choose who you want to be with.

I dont see why we shouldnt be able to move from llu to llu, like bulldog to talk talk or sky with no down time.
 
if its not a new line then its not a 12 month contract, but they said it was a min 3 month contract and when I received the first bill I noticed they charged me the 3 months line rental in advance.

Eventually you will be able to, but right now there are still some limitations.

You are on MPF LLU with Bulldog so to move to SMPF LLU or IPStream you would need a BT phone line hence the RTD process.

If you want to move to another MPF LLU provider then you don't have to RTD, you either migrate directly or just cease and reorder depending on the way the new provider operates.

So would sky or talk talk be a MPF LLU ? im sure with those two u need a bt number to order :rolleyes:

Its not a new line i want no, and i told the bt man i didnt want a new line, and i wanted to keep my old number, and i also told him we were with bt for ages before i went to bulldog, made no joy ;-(
 
Makes no difference if its a new line or not. Anyone that connects a new BT account, which is needed if you want to return to donor, then they have to keep said account for 12 months.
