Every couple of days my BT broadband will play up and only allow some devices access to the internet where others get a "Limited connection".

Normally if I reset the router a couple of times it comes back to life but this is really annoying.

How can i diagnose this issue?

Does it matter that the devices in question are not connecting over 5Ghz?

This is only a month old - at max.

Nope, my parents don't have any 5GHz devices and switching it off still stabilised it.

Oh yes, I also switched off that silly magic connect thing where you press something on the device, then on the router and it connects, rather than needing a WiFi password, so not sure if that helped as well.

Type A?...what's the difference?

Thery're made by different manufacturers. I've got a Type B. The modem has been on for 2+ months now and I do get the odd occasion where it doesn't work and I have to disconnect/reconnect to the Wi-Fi but not every couple of days.

If I was having problems with my HH5 I'd be buying one of the ASUS RT-AC routers.

So I switched of the 5Ghz band and it appears to have made it more stable, but as far as I am concerned, this isn't really an acceptable solution.

Turns out I did have devices on the 5Ghz band, so I find it annoying that I can't take advantage of this.
