BT TV

Hi all, had BT internet and phone installed earlier and all working fine. Waiting for tv person now, what do they actually do? I have the youview box but can't get TV because we don't have our aerial cable running into the lounge. Will they just run the cable into the lounge?

AFAIK the aerial for the Freeview side of things is your problem. Link.

But we have the aerial and an email came through saying that our TV has been activated, but we don't have a BT wire coming through where we want it to. We have some black cable and the Virgin Media TV cable...

Unless you have paid the extra fee for an aerial install no one will be coming as its self install as the other poster said.

No we haven't. We were told an engineer would come today to do everything for us, broadband TV and phone. Guess we'll have to wait until 6 then we will be on the phone to them!

BT tv is just a posh freeview box. The ariel you had in your tv to get digital goes into the bt vision box along with an ethernet cable and it will work. You can set everything up yourself,internet included if your house has a working landline as they turn it on from outside your house then put a different face plate on your access point.
