BT Upgrade <- A few problems

Hey all,

On monday, my connection got upgraded from 2.2mbs to 6.5 (the max i could get in my area).

It all went fine on monday, was getting reasonable speeds etc. I know it takes a while for it to settle, and since then its been up and down with the speeds.

The problem i'm having is every 20 mins or so, the connection just seems to time out, nothing will load in my browser and MSN signs out.. I'm using the reccomended router that BT said would be best, and i'm also using a Netgear 5port switch with 4 other PC's running through it.

Are these "time outs" just because the line got upgraded and its just fluctuating a bit, or is it a hardware fault?

TBH I am recieving the same problems!

this is only happening every few days though .. Zen pinged my connection and everything was fine but could not get the internet up on any of the computers I have at home, yet 20 minutes later it appeared to be working

NOTE: I am using a Netgear router, might be a problem with Netgears with this new technology
