BT Voyager Wireless ADSL Modem/Router

BT ADSL only or can they be used with other providers?

My brother wants to switch from a Frog to a wireless router and has got one of these from his father-in-law (who was apparently sent three or four by BT).

Not sure what model but can they be put to use on Pipex for example - he's a tight wad and won't shell out for a decent router unless I put a gun to his head.

The early ones worked with any provider, the later ones, the 2091 for example is locked, but it can be unlocked

you'll just need to flash the firmware. i'm pretty sure any version can be made to work. even my 2500v which was the latest before they introduced the homehub can be flashed using firmware direct from BT themselves.
