Hello!

This is a tricky one but I'll try keep it short.

Front door, main phone connection, straight into Infinity router.

Socket at front door, powerline adapter (the supplied BT ones) which exits through the other powerline adapter by my telly.

Straight into Homehub, homehub into Youview box.

Youview box works fine, all on demand stuff works fine, but streaming channels don't. I spoke to Craig in Newcastle, lovely chap, who walked me through updating the Youview box software and all the usual hoops that needed jumping through.

No dice. Internet's fine, this was done just now:

This also runs exactly the same connection as the Youview box.

Now Craig told me that it's probably a connectivity issue, which I doubt.

This issue only started last week, before then this Youview box has been flawless. Any ideas?

My logic is that the speed is there, so it should work. I've eliminated the internet speed issue so it's got to be a faulty box.

Thoughts?

Does it work if you connect the You View box straight into the Home Hub with a network cable? I have read how Power line adapters have been a bit hit and miss with the You View boxes.

Just to update this in case anyone has similar issues, the moral of the story is don't separate the fibre router from the home hub. Apparently this causes packet loss. Not that I've ever noticed it.

Absolutely, PPPoE does some weird things when connecting them via powerline adapters (essentially like using a switch between the devices). They should always be connected directly via Ethernet.
