well just had aother BT line installed today and a underground network engineer came out to fit the line and what do you know there are no spare points at the telephone pole so i have no dial tone and his excuse was he wont connect the cable because his holidays started at miday and he came to my house at 1pm. So he left without me knowing and no dial tone on the new line.
Thats typical of BT. Looks like i have to call them up now and i am probably guessing this is going to take a while to sort.
Also just ordered o2 broadband so lets hope this line gets connected soon before the activation of the broadband

Can't believe they did that. I hope the engineer gets seriously reprimanded. I've had a cowboy engineer in the past that tried to charge me £200. Unfortunately I lost his details before I sent my letter of complaint so I only got the charge revoked :/

and i forgot to mention that the engineer from yesterday scratched my car about 6 inches long the scratch is and its not even a surface scratch.
Back to today, well looks like my order has to go through to planning as the engineer couldn't connect the wire underground as the spare cable is worn out. So another delay and my o2 broadband is getting activated next Thursday!
