BTCC Oulton Sunday

I've not been to a BTCC event for sometime and as I had the offer of a guest pass I thought I'd pop along with my Mrs on Sunday and I plan to pop over tomorrow too for testing. Anyone else venturing out to Oulton?

Dad and I popped over on Friday for testing and had a great day. Mate of mine runs in the Supercup and he was good enough to sort us out on Friday and tomorrow and we have a couple of 'All Areas' passes, which makes the whole event more interesting. Yesterday was good as it was lots of track time for the Porsche's, Ginetta's (like them!) and Clio's and being able to freely walk around the pits and stand on the wall (tomorrow too!) meant I could have some good chats. First Posrches session was red flagged so spent 10 mintues sitting on the barrier chatting to Tim Harvey sitting in his Porsche ready to go out again talking about Le Mans and the olden days, nice chap!

Looking forward to tomorrow, Mazda has been cleaned and is all shiny. If you get the chance you NEED to get to the inside of Druids, such an epic corner and fantastic viewing from the woods too!

I've not been to a BTCC event before. Thruxton is just down the road but its usually the first race of the season so keep forgetting and missing it

Crap BTCC, enjoyed the first Supercup from Druids and second from Pitwall.

where did everyone go? I went to my usual knickerbrook area, but the hospitality tent got bigger this year

I went to Druids for the first BTCC race and the first Supercup and was amazed how few people were there. I think most of the people gathered on the hills looking over the dog leg of the Island because you got to see a good load of track, but Druids was epic to get a feel for who was dialled in and who wasn't.
