Went to the Qualifiying at Oulton Park yday ( Was holding out for a downpour or even more less likely.. Sun) So conditions werent great but it wasnt a bad day at all. shot quite a lot and ive filtered through them all and there is probably best part of 400 good keepers. Bit busy today so I dont know if these are the best from my collection but they will be uploaded to a web viewer later in the week (like the vintage bikes one)

I love the 'tone?' you get in the shots

No.8 is good how the background is blurred

Yeah number 8 was tricky when the driver thought it would be a good idea to wheel spin out of the pit. I got the effect I was after but almost got took out

Nice collection

Only critique would be 12,13 and 21 look like the crops a bit tight, you've only got the nose with no other real interest, maybe zooming back a bit to include the drivers would have improved them?

Yeah I know what your saying. I actually went for that look but I might of liked abit more door in the shot yes. the 100 - 400 is a very tricky lens to correct focal distance with. Push and pull at 400mm i easily knocked off your pan. Thanks for the ctric

nice images, I might be wrong but in places mainly where the highlights are they seem a bit over exposed.

You'd be right. Just my style. Its how I get the smoothed tone effect.

A bit of both really, Shooting in manual gave odd over exposure readings that I tried to correct with the jog wheel to no more past +1. Also tweaking the highlights bar in RSP.

Some of the photo look washed out which means they lack contrast. This can be fixed in Photoshop using the curves or levels adjustment tools.
Unless the brake discs are glowing then I don't think the bonet/front wheel shots work.

It's De-jau-vu for me - I was there 2 years ago for the first event that I attended to test out my 100-400L.
