Bubble Bobble - Amiga Puzzler/Platformer Remade for PC! ( REMAKE )

So this is all legal then?

I've seen a few of these threads not sure if they are all from you, but they just seem to be emulated games rather than "remakes".

Website link has been on here before. Not sure if its legal or not, they are just re-packaged roms into winUAE and made into a single exe (not remakes)

Lots of great games on there which I have. A big thread on the site was removed a while ago

This site - http://www.gog.com/ has some legit stuff on, but still not as good as the site which the above game is on (its also free)

Is it a remake as this was a coin-op that Taito ported to Amiga and PC... And every other machine going.

In fact my mate has it on a cd rom with rainbow islands on one of those budget labels.

level 57. that is all.

my bro and I played this endlessly on the c64. think the highest we got to was level 97.

there was no level select on the c64! 3 continues then game over.

They are partly emulated and also remade using high end filters, in a single exe package. No roms e.t.c

As part of it uses an in built emulator no direct links to the website will be posted
1) try reading
2) if you want to ruin it for others even though it's perfectly acceptable to be posted on ocuk in the way i've done it, go ahead

Any idea if that genuine PC version works on Windows 7?
Nope not natively it needs a certain amount of free RAM in DOS so you need to use DOS box & mess around with the memory extender config its easier to just build an old PC out of spare parts & play it that way as its not 100% stable in DOS box. Also needs the CD in the drive at all times as it has 2 games on it Bubble Bobble & Rainbow Islands both converted by some of the same people who did the original home versions for C64/Amiga in the 1980's. I bought this when it first came out in the mid 1990's it came in a massive box with just this CD case inside.

We've come to an agreement and Amiga games are allowed back on ocuk!

However i'll need to change the op slightly to reflect this

Thankyou Maccy :)

Ah Bubble Bobble, managed to finish it three or four times, one or two of those entirely on singel-player

As mentioned, Rainbow Islands was great too. Even managed to complete that a couple of times.

Would rather not get into a discussion about the link/site just incase, especially as it's via twitter and not here :)
