Apart from your mum on my bucket list, I was talking to a mate the other day about things I'd love to do before, not died, but I got to, say 45. This then went on to things you wanted to do in your life.

My first 3 things to achieve before I'm 45 were:

- Yachtmasters
- Private Helicopter License
- Light aircraft pilot license

I then looked up costs, and it nearly killed me. I'll start with my yachtmasters then.

Things then added, proper before you die bucket list, were things like:

- visit every continent (in some form)
- hot air balloon (sounds dull, but never done it)
- cook with a professional chef (think it would be a laugh!)

and other such guff. Do you have similar? What notable things to you want to do?

I started doing my PPL but as soon as I bought and started renovating my house, that quickly went out of the window. I'm hoping to resume next year.

Some stuff remaining on my list (I'm sure I've missed a few):

- Private Pilot's Licence (plane)
- Helicopter lessons
- Hang gliding (now booked)
- Hot air ballooning
- Safari in Africa
- Solo Skydive (done 3 tandems, need to man up and book the AFF)
- One of the great railway trips
- See the Galapagos Islands

Great list! Solo skydive is a great one. *steals* I've done a tandem, but would love to get to be able to do solo!

I've thought of some more. With thanks to mates of mine and the Mrs.

I really want to do my Ski Instructing certification. Shouldn't be too hard to complete, I just need to take the time out to do it. Reckon at my current semi fitness I'd manage it.

I also would love to do my Master Sommelier Diploma. I mean, how cool would it be to be a master sommelier?! 4 exams in total. BOSH. (I've asked for level 1 for Christmas from the Mrs!)

That was all I added. The Mrs wants to do her patisserie qualification in Paris, but it's 16 weeks and like 40k. Bloody French.

Good luck with level 4 feller :) . Best get tasting a tonne of wines pronto (and learn to spit them out).

I too would like to get to space one day. Have run the option of selling the house and going on Virgin Galactic past the misses but she didn't seem that keen. I'll keep working on her.

Farrk, that sounds awesome fun though. I live in France, I have a supply of wine like water, now to indulge massively, to aid learning of course! Just makes the challenge more of a challenge. Where is the fun if everyone has it? haha :D

I do hope the flights like that come down to a more reasonable amount, as at the moment, they're just mental.
