bucket of salt needed: 390x, TX, 980 Ti benchmarks

Time and again we get these supposed leaked benches and they all prove to be wrong, but I don't mind seeing them and quite enjoy debating the possible specs/ram/performance. 3 days till GDC, so we will know more about the TX (hopefully) but the 390X is a long way off apparently and looking at June at the very earliest and knowing AMD and how they keep to schedule, probably looking at Chrimbo :D

While i would love those benches to be an indication of whats to come, i just cant see a 4gb card out powering a 12gb card in tests at those res and settings.

Cant for one minute think HBM is going to make that much difference, because if true, the 8gb variant would smash everything on those charts.. just not going to happen imho.

While im a massive AMD fan im also a realist, while i expect the cards to be close in performance at lower res, i expect the TitanX to be miles ahead when going up in resolutions and settings.

However should pigs fly and those benches were remotely true and the AMD 390X was that powerful, how could people even justify paying for the TitanX?

Cant see it happening

They don't need to justify anything, it's their decision at the end of the day, if they're happy to pay that then good on them, you'll know the ones who get buyers remorse as they'll sell the cards after a few weeks.
