The college I go to are looking for parts for an editing computer. The budget is approx £2000 and it needs to perform very well in things such as Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, general editing software, etc.

Please could you spec?

I am assuming that things such as keyboard, mouse, and monitor are already sorted :)

That's a very healthy budget! I don't know too much about it, but the Nvidia GPUs support CUDA which some software also supports, and this can help with editing software. The 6-core will be very good for it too!
I'm not 100%, but a GTX580 might be a better choice than the 680 as the 680 is steered more towards gaming.
