Looking for something a bit less flashy than most posts on here.

I'm currently using an LG Flatron W2242S...so a bit dated, the old gal has served me well but when you're using a VGA to HDMI cable, it's time to move on.

Don't want spend loads, £200 absolute max, if its a less then great.

Looking for 24" and want it to have Displayport as a connection option. Been reading about and although the debate seems very strong, it would seem for a non-competitive gamer, IPS is probably the better choice so I suppose one of those. I do play some FPS games, but more for single player.

Really have no idea what to go for as there are so many monitors with what appear to be similar specifications, but if it's anything like TV's...manufacturers seem to be able to claim whatever values they want at times...

So any suggestions would be fab!

cheers.

Just been having a read about this whole G-sync business, definitely can't afford one with the hardware in but this monitor is apparently compatible or at least is approved by nvidia to provide a reasonable screen tear free experience with its new cards.., not IPS but this stuff sounds relevant to playing FPS games so think I'll go for that...
