I've built my son a gaming machine which he is very pleased with (Ryzen 2600, 16gb, Vega 64). I also gave him a spare old Dell 2407 and the response times on it are quite poor compared to my monitor. In Fortnite you can definitely tell there is a lag compared to my own monitor.
I am on a tight budget but what monitor would people recommend for him? It needs to be 24" or larger as he is used to my large 30" monitor. He only uses it for FPS gaming such as Fortnite. I guess 1080p would be OK. I know at the budget end I will have to make some sacrifices. So response times are more critical than image quality.
