Budget: £200-£250, will be used in the UK

Most important: Best possible quality of the display - 60Hz refresh would be acceptable and can include the biggest & heaviest of units
Bluetooth and GPS: Main uses for the device is navigation and playing music to Bluetooth headphones
Durability - Looking for longevity in the build and no overheating issues under normal operation

Would be nice to have: 5G, Headphone Jack, SD card expansion slot

Not concerned with: never use the camera, battery life, total charging time or max internal storage, NFC and only single SIM needed.

My son has the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite 5G - 64MP Camera, 120Hz refresh rate screen, Snapdragon 750G chipset. Came bundled with a free 10,000mah Power bank direct from Xiaomi - wasn't an advertised offer, just seemed to be a random freebie so YMMV. It's quite large, but the screen looks amazing for an LCD and is nice and responsive. £229 direct from Xiaomi, but doesn't have a headphone jack. He plays on it all day and hasn't mentioned any heat issues.

If you want to compare phone sizes, I'd recommend a site called Phone Sized (https://phonesized.com/) which lets you compare different phones - you can calibrate the on screen size by using a credit/debit card.

Thanks! I took a good look at that one and surely would have been my pick if 5G was a bigger requirement for me - but as it's not I ended up grabbing a Poco X3 Pro 8gb ram/256gb for £180
