I am looking to buy a customized desktop PC that is suitable of running the upcoming release of ARMA 3. I have a budget of under £400 but I am not sure if I'll have to pay more for what I am asking.
Researching, I found out these system requirements are most likely going to be needed to run the game on a good FPS level:
  • Intel Core i5 or AMD Athlon II x4 620
  • RAM at least 8 GB
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 270 or Radeon HD 4890
If anyone has any advice on budget components or desktop PC's it would be a great help.

That's a tough budget to do a gaming rig, if you need an OS that's £80 gone already. Might be best to look at the developers copy of windows 8 and buy the OS later in the year so you can concentrate your cash on components

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £167.99
1 x HIS HD 7850 IceQ X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (H785QN2G2M) £155.99
1 x Asus P8Z77-V LX2 Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £69.98
1 x Toshiba (7K1000.D) 1TB SATA 6GB/s 32MB Cache - OEM (DT01ACA100) HDD £54.98

This would get you up and going as the APUs IGP is gaming capable. You can add a better dedicated GPU when funds allow

Yes, I have a Hard Drive, Mouse, Monitor and all of that from my current computer which is running windows 7 because I dislike the look of windows 8. Would this be a problem because of an older OS?

@honosuseri
Thanks for the basket list and it seems this might be something I am looking for. In the future I am hoping to upgrade this new computer with a new CPU and Graphics Card.

What are the case and power supply you have currently? Keep the current hard drive and OS - Windows 7 won't be a problem with ARMA3.

I'd keep the case, HDD, optical drive and OS - possibly the PSU if it's good enough, which should free up the budget for a graphics card.

Don't go for the AMD budget with no graphics card, though - it's good, but it's not up to the level of a 4890.

You'll still struggle to get it down to £400 with the PSU, but if you get the basket below for £390-ish, a PSU (if you need it) will take you to about £430.

I'm not sure about all the specifications of my computer but its a "Packard Bell imedia S3210"
If I need it, I have a larger computer case and 750w Power supply that is not being used.
