Firstly, thanks to all those who read these "spec me" threads!!!
I have a dead Emachines PC which I was going to build into a basic, basic internet PC that I could also use to test components when building PC's
I can use the old Celeron 2.6Ghz, the 266 RAM, 20gb Hard drive, but I'll need a new motherboard and possibly ram as old 266 isn't compatible.
Or do I build a base C2D, based on an E2140 or other as I'm prob going to be buying a motherboard and RAM anyway??
Obviously cost is the issue for this type of machine, but I may be happier in a few months if I go for the C2D.
