As per the title. I am looking in to building a budget PC for my daughter so that she has something a little more substantial then her laptop to game on and that has potential future upgrade possibilities. Also so that we can game together as shes currently on my PC to game as her laptop is at its limit!

Currently i am not looking for a separate GPU just to keep the costs down for now and so have spec'ed out the following.

Feedback and thoughts please:

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £488.24 (includes shipping: £12.30)

preowned would probably be best value tbh.
a dell/hp/lenovo with a 4770/4790 and then chuck in a cheap gpu like a rx570
Thinking longer term if I start with this then a progressive step would be adding a GPU, then it has longevity, also my daughter is 11 now so cant see her developing to games that are massively graphics driven any time soon.

However, always keeping an eye on MM.

Hi, I like the look of this build.

Did you go for it? If so, how is it?

I'm looking for a new build on the same budget roughly. Would all the above build from start to finish or do I need any additional extras (Fans etc?)

The only difference I went with was the case is the Mini not the Midi, but same design.

As LiE mentions you will just need a copy of windows ready on a USB drive and a product key for it.

The machine has no issues running WoW classic for my daughter and even though it runs the settings capped at 100 FPS, it barely ever drops below 90FPS even in the cities.

This is only my second ever build and it went together and all shorted in a couple of hours, after I missed that the usual 3.5" HDD bays could also house the 2.5" SSD and I was trying to mount the SSD in the optional location which required the power supply to be unbolted....needless to say I would have saved a good hour without this faff!

Also the only suggestion I would offer on this build would be to consider a modular PSU for neater cabling. I will see if I can get some pics loaded up later of the build however.
