Budget Build.

Girlfriend wants a new system as her current laptop won't play The sims 3.

Main uses

- General Web
- Photoshop/Paintshop pro X2
- Coursework etc for sixth form.

Currently has an Advent 5421 (Intel T1500 1.86ghz 1gb ddr2)

Looking at the build below plus cheap graphics card - GTS25 or used 8800/9800

Would like to keep budget as close to above or below if possible.

I'll possibly pick up some components off MM to cut cost or get something a little quicker.

I'll probably go for a mild overclock depending what temps look like as Im not expecting great air flow in that case

If all she's wanting to do is play games like The Sims 3 then I'd personally look into getting a complete 2nd hand system, buying new "old-tech" parts for that, to me, seems like a waste of money. A system like mine could probably be found for around £200-250 second hand, and would happily play any game all day long...
