I'm about to upgrade my PC. Although pretty proficient with PC upgrades I've not kept up with the latest developments so am not entirely sure which CPUs are the best buy now. I've had some advice here which has suggested either of the following
Athlon 64 3000 (Venice)
Athlon 64 3200 (Venice)
Consensus suggests the 3000 as they will both overclock the same.
But I've also seen the latest pricing on the
Athlon 64 3700 (San Diego)
I was wondering whether it would be worth pushing my budget to the 3700 ... or is there someing else I should consider ....
How does the AM2 compare?
Are there any forthcoming developments that I should hang out for - either in their own right or because they will lower the prices of the Athlon 64s?
